Hi all ,

I am in the process of buying some domains of a person but i am having trouble getting the domains in my name and now they wont reply . Whats the best way to chase this up as i have paid up front but i have loads of emails ?

Thanks in advance .

Are they in your registrar account, 123-reg etc?

- Rob

nope

No ,

They are in heart internet and they dont have the details so im kind of stuck as the domains are where registered by the designer and he wont reply to emails so im kinda stuck ...

Just re-read your original post.

So you've bought domains from someone, and he's lost his login details? You've paid upfront and now he won't reply to emails. Correct?

Domains

I have all details apart from the logins into where the domains are controlled .
I struck a deal and I have been waiting a week now .

do you have an account with heart? if so you can request (heart) to email the other person to enable an internal transfer. I've had this asked of me by heart in the past.

if you don't have an account then set one up, do the transfer then either keep them on heart or move the domains to your preferred account

If you've got access to the email address associated with the whois details, you can access it via Nominet.

Request your password here...

https://secure.nominet.org.uk/auth/access-your-account.html

Login to your Nominet account and pay for a tag change (£10+ VAT).

In addition to the above...

If all the details are your own except for the registrant name – initiate a transfer to yourself via your Nominet account. As part of that process, you can change the tag. Will save you paying two lots of £10.

So are the domains registered in the companies name or the designers name? Have you checked the whois?

What details do you have?

Hi ,

many thanks for the reply it's in the guys name that sold me the domain ,
but the designer has the info for heart and won't reply to my requests .

I don't have a heart account . I have the logins for the server/emails but not the main cp for domain . I just want the domain in my name .

All legal ownership changes of .uk domains are handled by nominet (the registry for .uk domains) so any transfer will need to be done via the nominet account for the domain(s), not the heart internet control panel.

If the domain(s) you are buying are associated with an email address belonging to the company they can use the link below to reset their password and login to their nominet account:
https://secure.nominet.org.uk/auth/access-your-account.html

If the domains have been "looked after" by their designer it might be his email address associated with them. In which case, the company (as the rightful owners), can gain access to their nominet account without an email address using the link below:
https://secure.nominet.org.uk/flows/reestablish-identity.html

The second option will cost £10 +VAT but should save you the hassle of contacting the designer.
