This morning i picked up the Daily mail in Sainsburys cafe because the Star was gone, i looked in it and on a 2 page spread seen this in very big letters right across both pages Poison-by-post.com

So i checked it and it was free to reg, with in 25 mins i regged it and published a 1 page site Website

Don't how how much traffic it may get, but a 2 page spread with your URL in a national newspaper for free :lol: lol

Hi, yes the article is to do with diy botox kits, wanted to throw it together asap.

Going to look at affiliates now for this product.

Big print though hey

Parking would have got the right products quicker and better but where's the revenue

How about putting it on myaffsite? They have some retailers who offer beauty treatments, spa weekends and stuff like that, you can get it up and running in 10 minutes.

Hi, kev, thanks for the idea, i have now changed the sites title to DETOX and underneath Beauty and put 6 detox/skin cream items at the top of the page off Amazon.

96 hits without detox products on there

At least there's still all day so who knows ? i couldn't miss not trying

The products are £20 to £77 each

i'll update soon.

I don't wish to sound negative but you're unlikely to earn much revenue from the traffic as the visitors would be extremely wary of the site due to the nature of the article. Also the domain will be pretty much worthless in a couple of days time when most people will have binned their copy of the newspaper.

What I would do is foraward the traffic to another site which you are trying to get better known, so at least a legitimate site gets some bonus traffic. Maybe a site totally unrelated - after all they're more likely to respond to ads that are obviously not related to the scam described in the article, than those that are.

Anyway keep us updated, it will at least be interesting to discover what kind of traffic you can expect from a double page spread in a national rag.

I agree with what jasman said, if I was a man/woman reading the article in the paper or on the newspapers website where the domain name is also listed in the story title, I would be unlikely to buy anything from the domain name after seeing what the article said, but you can but try. Also, are you confusing detox with botox?

I jasman, the article should work in my favour as i am advertising detox alternatives such as face cream, which anyone reading the article who has detox will think cr*p i'm not having detox no more, let's read this site and then they come across safe alternatives.

I hope they will anyway ?

I just checked the search results on Google for that domain and it's on a lot of sites, so you could expect a steady stream of traffic even after people have thrown their newspapers away, see here: "Poison-by-post.com" - Google Search

Might you be better throwing up a quick mini site about Botox, plastic surgery and botched medical procedures, then stick some Adsense on it instead of the current banners you have on there?

Detox- Botox, what are they ? i don't know the difference ?

Detox could be anything i think that helps cleanse the body right ?

Last change on the site and i'm leaving it, changed it from DETOX and beauty to DETOX and alternatives.

Good idea presenting alternatives. If I were you I would capitalise on what the article said by on the one hand reiterating the dangers of Botox while on the other presenting the 'safe alternatives' i.e. a heading on the front page along the lines of "Why risk disfigurement from Botox when there are these safe alternatives..." Then it's clear that you are agreeing with the article, adding a ton of credibility to the ads.

Good to hear the article is proliferating online. I didn't expect that, so looks like the domain may have some lasting value after all.
