That happens a lot round here.

It's happened to my threads several times without explanation, and I'm quite well-behaved

I know we're not talking about the elephant in the room right now, but it's this kind of thing that encourages people to go to Other Domain Forums

It happens when people post in the wrong forums or post the same domains in multiple forums. Either way it's time consuming but keeps the forum in some kind of order.

Yes I was polite and well behaved in the thread - however didn't quite understand where the vitriolic response I was dealt came from, I justified my earlier comments and the thread disappeared.

Think it should be made clear that threads will be unilaterally removed if content is considered disagreeable by its submitter at a later date.

Did you PM admin and ask in the end?

If you had to spend all day moving and deleting threads and seeing people post every thread they do in the "general board", because they can't be bothered to follow the forum rules or look where it should really go, you'd understand why we don't get time or feel inclined to keep sending messages to explain things.

I am generalising here, not talking about any particular user.

You can all help by giving some thought to where you create your threads.

Yeah agreed. Unlikely to go anywhere though, especially if threads here stop mysteriously disappearing.

Perhaps admin could insist that moderators send a one line explanation when they delete our stuff

If i pmed everyone about there mistakes they make on a daily basis i would spend more time on here then i would doing stuff that actually makes me a living..

dosnt matter how many forums there is, if people cant be bothered to read the simple rules of posting a thread in the right area then the thread will be moved/removed on any forum.
