I also got outdoors.wales and rafting.wales.

I'm still not exactly sure on the reasons, but I think that there is potential in .wales domains/websites in certain niches.

Research has shown over 70% of Welsh consumers would prefer to use a .wales tld over any other. I've invested a bit so far, think it may do well in years to come. Who knows, I could be wrong. But I'd stick with premiums only for now though..

Yes, absolutely.

Edit: It's a premium keyword and domain. Only time will tell if it get's a premium resale value.

Think its a great name if the extension takes off. Potential for a sale to website development / seo type company. May even get a sale to the public sector they often do digital type initiatives to encourage people into technology.
The only possible downside is the lack of decent broadband in some areas of wales

.wales clearly tells people "i am in wales" this will be very positive you wait and see.

Yes Wales will be good imo too. Some of us have picked up absolute premiums too. I'm going to dev some of mine, just you wait and see.

I guess it's too early to guesstimate a price-range on premiums at the moment.

If Wales had a better digital TV / DAB radio signal then it may be a good domain.

However, most of the country has those great big mountains in the way, blocking the signals unless you're down south, or near Liverpool.

I think it's a nice name but you'll just have to see how the .wales market develops with regards to value.

I think it was a forum member here (doesn't post that often now) who bought the .com for a considerable sum.
