I have a few minisites which were all in the top 5 on the first page of google for their keywords but 1 by 1 they all seem to of suddenly disappeared of google and i cannot find them anywhere is there a reason for this and how do i get them back into google? any ideas? thanks for any help

were they all the same minisite template? I had the same thing happen. I reckon the only way to get them indexed again is change whatever is breaking the rules then request a re-inclusion.

there were very similar templates with adsense on them but how do i know what breaks the rules? and how do you get a second chance? thanks

Don't quote me on this but I heard the sites need to be 'significantly different', and significant according to a guy who works in the gmail area is around 30-40%, so you need to make sure no 2 sites are less than say 25% the same on the same server.

I try to do this for the most part :)

Have a look on copyscape too, you'll probably find dupe content.
I had some bloogy foreigner quoting most of my text.

If they don't have good enough backlinks Google may well weed them out after initially doing well being new.

Check if they are banned (search for the url in google) if it shows up they are probably just not deemed high enough quality.

I had about 8 sites all using the same template allbeit different content, colours, images etc which i purchased from someone on here. They were ranking fine with pr and a few on page 1 of google then about a month or so ago i noticed one had dropped down the rankings. I made some changes to content then requested a reinclusion. It then was de-indexed (definately not in google) and all my other templates like that one (on same Ip reseller) also got de-indexed. One thing was that i moved hosts but the sites were ok after that.
Im not sure if i was contravening google TOS or why they were booted off? I have no idea how to get them back to where they were either.
I looked in copyscape and saw some dupe content but wasn't sure if a few lines would affect?.

If anyone would like to help resolve the investigation please pm and i'll give examples.

If your mini sites have no duplicate content, probably some of your competitors do better in their link building that's why your sites have disappeared on the first page of the search results.

how do i go about building links coz to be honest they dont really have any. thanks for all your help everyone.

Easiest way if link your own sites to your own sites, altho this is technically a link farm, as long as they are related its usually cool.

Like i link ALL my sites back to my design site in the footer, I also link related sites like my 'fitness sites' link to each other to save me from duplicating data, my car sites link to each other too.

You should include your current domains in your signature on the forums and comment blocks you post on, post on relevant blogs and yahoo answers.

I search yahoo answers once a week for threads that are related to my sites and then read the threads and post a reply and when I can include a link :)

You can trade links with related sites, or you can include useful tools that people naturally link too :)

Maybe want to search the forum for SEO links, someone posted some links a few days ago :)

Maybe that's why your sites are slowly disappearing. Your link building should be an ongoing task. Skinner has offered very good suggestions on link building.

i think they're not saying that they disappeared from the first page, but completely
