Doing SEO for a website but only little ranking improvement?

Hi,
I am a web-developer, who also has interest in SEO and for a few months i am working as a freelancer.
I started optimizing a website but a problem occurs and that is actually it not ranks pretty good in the UK search engines. I made a lot of backlinks, link-building, keywords are on point, the optimization is getting better. Wrote new original content, made the design more simple and useful, the on-page SEO is good. After all, months after i started, i do not seem to track the higher positions of the site and it stays in the same positions.
What do you think and suggest how to proceed? How should i optimize?

You need to migrate properly to https and sort out your redirects for a start. Currently the site is accessible to both http and https URL's.

Your loading your "critical css" in your head, but it looks like you've just loaded your entire CSS there instead, its a hacky work around to get better performance scores and won't be helping you.

Your primary country target is UK, but you're site suggests its aiming for en_US language

You have masses of Duplicate content.

Forget external factors, get your on-site and technical aspects on point first.

Just a quick glance, but:

How are you building backlinks? Many of your links look like they've been created via directory submissions or PR Syndication which isn't good.

Your site doesn't have enforced SSL certificate

Your meta titles aren't optimised.

Most of your landing pages are duplicated, with just keywords varied. Again, not great for SEO.

The site: command reveals quite a few pages with what looks like spun and quite thin content.

What they all said. But I'd start from first principles - i.e. writing for your target market, and then optimising.

The content makes the website look spammy and the firm look like liars which needs to con people into becoming customers. And it makes you look like an ineffectual spammer rather than someone who understands the market and able to meet its needs.

I know that the National Curriculum is in danger of churning out indistinguishable
automatons but I doubt that Dominique and Josefine and Elsa would really write testimonials so similar.

I'd never advocate following ASA guidelines to the letter, but this is a good guide to having testimonials without looking like a disingenuous liar:

I wouldn't trust this firm as far as I could throw it. And as it consists of a hulking van filled with the contents of a house, that wouldn't be very far at all.

My constructive advice follows. It does actually involve a bit of work though, rather than tricks.

• Remove ALL spun content
• Remove ALL fake testimonials
• Write some thin content to introduce geo pages
• Research what the needs of customers are in each individual area, and include them on each individual page. So, you might write about certain roads, or local storage firms, or any additional fees that you might have for going south of the river or whatever makes your service in or knowledge of that area unique. Mention some local landmarks, include real local pictures and a real Google map of the area.
  
  By all means have a loosely defined template, but write each page by hand so that each page is genuine and isn't a duplicate.
• Get some genuine testimonials. If you don't have enough for each area then repeat them across pages, or don't include them on all pages.
• Change the Prices page content from an image to a real HTML table

THEN follow the excellent advice already given in this thread.

Fake testimonials are illegal, are they not? At risk of Trading Standards getting involved...

Everything about the site shouts fake.
There is no company with this name.
The about us says nothing really.
There is a van pic on the slider which says megaremovals.com, the domain is unregistered.
The figures on the countdowns look totally fake and do not add up.
The address given is a residential address.
No details regarding insurance etc.
If a member of BAR then The BAR logo should be displayed alongside the CTSI (Trading Standards Institute) logo, as a real-time live link. Having just checked with BAR it appears that they have never heard of Mega Removals. Expect their legal team to be in touch.
Plus of course, all that has been mentioned above.
Looks to me that you or whoever owns the site have made it with the intention of selling removals leads and are trying to spam your way into the search engines.
Might have worked 10 years ago not a good idea nowadays.

I can advise you that you have to look over the on page seo and on-site seo. And you have to wait for some time, then ranking may appear on serp.
