Drop Question

Hi random question here. of the say 2,000 names that drop every day, what % of these do you think get renewd?

Of those 40% that dont get renewed how many are picked up? (say on the day they drop)

As before, the answers are out there. Have you tried searching for this information yourself as I've found the answer to both your questions pretty easily

Statistics show that 15% of non renewed domain names are re-registered by someone else within one day. Astonishingly 7.5% are re-registered within 10 seconds.

i looked on google and had a look on some back posts on here. couldnt find what i was looking for. there was something that was on here about the funnel of how many names in the total system, of those how many are renewed and how many are left to drop (it was on a drop list thread about how many total domains drop in the system. but can find that and have very seen any one say that of the 400 domains that are on domainlores drop list end up getting bought by someone else.

if anyone else able to help with those then im sure im not the only one who would like to know the answer

The above stuff I posted are official figures from Nominet, I don't think you're gonna get a better answer. Going by droplists is the wrong way to do it as noone has a complete droplist and by Nominets terms people are only allowed to release a maximum of 1000 domains in the list.
