After putting up my domains on sedo for the first time last week, not long after I got an email asking how much I wanted to sell it for!

I told them I was selling it through Sedo.com and to go their.

I then got another email...

heres some of the email...
What do you think about 6,000 USD for your domain name?

Have you had your domain names evaluated in the past? I mean domain
appraisals. Without valuation we cannot be sure in the sale price. It's very
important for me in terms of reselling too. But we must engage a valuation
company with REAL manual service.

Domain without content is ok with me. Web site is not necessary.

If, for example, the valuation comes higher you can adjust your asking price
accordingly. It will be fair. I also hope you can give me 12% - 15%
discount.

After you send me the valuation via email (usually it takes 1-2 days to
obtain it) we'll continue our negotiations.

I am not sure where to go from here:confused: seems a bit like a scam to me.

Any ideas/help would be most grateful.

Ignore it, it's called an appraisal scam, they just want you to go to a site, they will give you the url as they will be the owners of the site as well as pretending to be a buyer, at their site, you can get the domain appraised, which you'll have to pay for, they have no intention of buying the domain, it's a common scam.

[edit]

If you Google a paragraph of text from their email, you get these scam results from where the same format has been used before:
