How many emails have you sent out over the past 2 weeks?

If you've read any of Federer's previous posts I don't think it is very many, he sends a few personalised and well targeted emails and reaps the rewards.

When it comes to proactively moving my .CO.UK inventory, I send out 10-25 individual emails per domain. About 12mins marketing per name.

I can usually find buyers for 25%-50% of the domains when doing outbound sales.

Just hand registered 3 more .CO.UK (that recently dropped) - we'll see if I can move one of them today/tomorrow.

That's going a bit far. These are not huge slam-dunk sales, just modest £100-£300 sales mainly.
But .CO.UK is just part of my business model (15% at the moment, but rising). .COM/.NET brands is where the bigger (and more frequent) sales occur at this stage. Ex. Selling a mega GEO right now at auction (IRAQ.net).

The 3 .CO.UK names that I'll be marketing today/tomorrow (picked them up yesterday):
- dvdmanufacturing.co.uk
- wellnesscoach.co.uk
- windowcleaningmanchester.co.uk

What I mean is I've known you from Namepros for years and have always noticed how good you are. Can't help but spread a little love. :)

You're too kind.... I also try and help/give back as much as possible.

Here is the simple (highly-effective) template I am using...

Federer, you inspired me around a year ago to sell hand registrations, i've sold a few since then for small profits.

A few noteable ones:
FreestyleFootball.co.uk - £500
DevonWebsiteDesign.co.uk - £330
ScaffoldingNottingham.co.uk - £220

Superb return on those domains.
If you know what you're doing and have an eye for the right keywords, there is no better (incl. more enjoyable) business to be in.

I'm surprised you don't include a price, any reason why not?

Surely the next email they send if interested is "how much?"

I agree 100% Do you do any further pitching? such as phone calls if you don't receive any replies to your emails?

Recently i've also found a few nuggets in the .com market to resell, I haven't pitched those names yet though.

Not including a price allows you to gauge interest. It increases the reply-rate and allows you to play the tactic of price-reductions (later) to all the companies that asked "how much".
Set a "non-interesting" price-tag in your first email and 85% will not even bother replying if the price is not to their suiting.
At least 35% of my sales are the result of reducing the asking price (and sending the reduction to the "interested: how much" parties, 1-2 days later.

If someone can not take a few minutes to reply to an offer of a domain related to their product or service, I'm not going to invest time in pressuring them/explaining why they should invest.

However I enjoy CLOSING deals on the phone with companies that are interested in the domain(s), but hesitating to pull the trigger for whatever reason.

Good for you Federer. It seems at the moment this is just about the only way to make sales on anything other than really top generics. Inbound enquiries on my keyword domains are down about 90 per cent over the last couple of months and they weren't exactly healthy before that.

Outbound sales are essential for key .CO.UK domains, unless you own thousands and have a great turnover rate and a solid profit margin after renewals/expenses.

2-WORD .COM brands (75% of my business model) are producing passive ($x,xxx) sales each month. These are timeless domains with inherent recognition value.
.NETs are still solid, if you know what to invest in.

I used to have success with .com hand regges years ago but sales dried up so much. Well in saying that I've been so absorbed into .uk the past couple years I really need to get more active in .com again and Namepros forum (my username there is Dave btw).
