Does anyone know how we can stop Netfirms spamming this forum?

We delete about 3 new users a day created by them but they just don't give it up.

We added netfirms.com to the banned hostnames but it didnt do anything.

Unfortunately Netfirms are one of those free hosting companies
and as soon as block one address they sign up another. I would write
to Netfrims ,quote them a few of the spam sites and they can see
if it is same user, and block them signing up anymore ?.

Do you know if it is actually people signing up, or are they using a bot to do it?

You could implement the visual confirmation option in the phpBB signup procedure. This adds a series of images that represent letter/numbers that have to be seen and entered by the person signing up.
