There was a thread about a year ago with some favourable opinions about GiffGaff? Are people still happy - would be grateful for some comments before I leave T Mobile.

Cheers
Stephen.

There are quite often pretty decent SIM Only deals from Orange on Quidco. I'll post one up if I see one.

A few new phone contracts are pretty good too. I managed to pick up a Galaxy S3 on a contract for £20 a month. Not too shabby. I know my comment isn't giffgaff related, but thought it was semi relevant in terms of trying to get a good deal :).

Cheeky plug for my affiliate link - order through an affiliate and you get £5 credit added to your account.

We've used GG for just over 2 years (looks like July 2010 from the payment history), we have both of us and the kids all on GG so we can call each other "free" as this is where our main calls are, the kids can call friends without running up huge bills.

The only issues we've had (other than the few widely reported O2 outages) have been poor reception when at a remote holiday location (we tend to camp or get a static caravan away from the crowds), but we'd probably have had just as poor reception on any network in these remote locations.

The Internet access is good as long as you have good network access, they have just recently changed some of the policies.

If necessary, you can top up with an O2 voucher if you can't get on-line, so you should be able to more or less manage your account from anywhere.

Unless they change prices dramatically or we change usage pattern, we'll remain on GG.

Thanks for the tips so far.

Does anybody know if any companies use the vodafone network - like giffgaff use O2.

Thanks
Stephen.

Asda use vodafone, again much the same as GiffGaff use O2, however, Asda put their prices up and didn't have the "free" family to family calls we could get on GG so we changed. Network coverage is more or less the same between VF & O2 as the networks were more or less built in tandem, often with masts on the same buildings by the same installation engineers.

Cheers grateful.

Tempted to give talkmobile a go for a month - especially as Carphone Warehouse have a store nearby and somebody i can physically talk to.

Stephen.
