Just an update from my drawn-out absence. and a personal thank you to those that have sent emails..

Spent a month or two with my mum in France and now back in the UK..

it's taken a long time but after almost 7 years (of my making) received this email this morning..regarding my late wife Sues Life-insurance

Good Morning Mr xxxx
I can confirm we have now received the medical evidence from your wife’s GP and I have now completed my assessment of the claim.
I am pleased to inform you that the claim is valid and payment will be made into the bank details you have provided us with.
A letter will be issued to you confirming the amount and any interest that may be payable.

I know it seems it a bit personal to be posting some of this stuff. but, quite a few members here on Acorn are aware of my Personal situation in bringing things to a close (things that I should have done a long time ago)

I owe one or two members a bit of cash from personal payments made to me - thanks guys, plus one remaining domain transfer to do.

* domains have kept me sane over the years (and taken care of day to day needs) and been an escapism but nothing like a bit of a the recent financial crisis I was facing to drive me back to a reality check and get my house in order

Cheers = No more fire-sales from me then, may even get around to posting domains on Sedo etc for once - I had it too easy for far too long for my own good. Still lesson learnt..

that said, I'm heading off to the Canaries for the rest of the winter... but, i'm going to be posting regularly again (Sober, I promise)

No problem DaveP - I'll clear the back log of emails and PM's over the next week.. if it's to do with an offer to purchase - then there's not any more domains that I plan on shifting via domainer sales..

Just as a side note - I am planning on being in the Canaries to get everything finalised for my wife Sues inquest, even after 7 years (and multiple postponements) it will hit the National Press of that I have no doubt - as the hospital releases it's grovelling apology..

seven years of anguish, Aviva should be ashamed of themselves, thank god common sense prevails, I know losing a love one is terrible especially this time of year at least you can concentrate on the future with optimism now and not worry about the finances, personally I would have sued Aviva for lack of care of duty, but I am no legal expert...

Insurers hope you'll die whilst waiting for the claims to come to through! Very annoying - pleased you finally got 'some' small resolution.
