Google Adsense for domains

I doubt if this will perform better than a good parking page or mini site.

However, looks like its only in the US for now, not showing as an option in my adsense setup.

Yes, it is for everyone, that is, everyone who has minimum traffic of, I think it's 250,000 visits per month, there is another topic about it on here somewhere.

Ive seen numbers from 100,000 upto 750,000 but nothing on google or even where to apply. With lots of forums guessing I was hoping someone had a domain already on the scheme.

@ Purg, it actually said the number of visitors required on the Google site, if you can find the topic on here you can view the link, I'll try going back through my posts and see if I can find it.

Thats me about 749,000 hits a month out but seeing what you get would be very nice.

If anyone knows of a domain or two on the google scheme please post. Im very intrested to know the layout used by Google.

The AFD program has a single layout which theyve used for years for anyone who previously had a direct html feed.

From memory, you can change the colour scheme and thats about all.

Julia has been blogging about it for some time - caveat emptor

I've got it in my account! Certainly not getting 750,000 uniques.

Option is displayed in my Adsense account to, NZ based.

Looks like everyone's got it, have you seen the domain setup instructions though, not exactly bulk friendly:

First, create the following CNAME (alias) records for your www host using your domain registrar. You can find your unique identifier on the AdSense for domains setup page:

Host Name/Alias
Record Type

Value/Destination
www CNAME (alias)
pub-xxxxxxxxx.afd.ghs.google.com. (where pub-xxxxxxxxx is your unique ID listed on the AdSense setup page)

Next, create the following A records for your domains at your domain registrar (view instructions for common domain registrars):

Host Name/Alias
Record Type

Value/Destination
@ A (address)
216.239.32.21
@ A (address)
216.239.34.21
@ A (address)
216.239.36.21
@ A (address)
216.239.38.21

Note: Please be sure that these four A records are the only existing A records for your domain.

Must be doing something stupid, but the instructions are not clear to me and heartinternet does not allow me in the form for the A records to enter what is suggested for the A records i.e.:

@ A (address) 216.239.32.21

I just dont get this. I though one can enter "*", but not "@". Do they mean "*". The error I get is:

Failed to add A record.

Any ideas???

 your not joking!!

ill have to host any domains and do the dns or use one of their suggested DNS providers, as fasthosts don't do cname.
Nameservers would have been a better way - but they obviously want to make life difficult for everyone except themselves.

If your registrar has limited zone editing, try zoneedit.com. It's free.
