:p

Now we have the #usage cmd you can see that the stats get set to zero whenever the DAC falls over, like about half an hour ago..

So all you need to do is crash the DAC when you want more credits :D

Hi,
You say that the dac crashed today....but why then, if what you say is correct, have my usage stats not been reset? Does it only reset them for the tag holder who crashes the system?

Regards

Having your ussage stats reset wouldn't be of any great use, unless you could do it at least twice a day.

The stats are on a rolling 24 hours. If you suddenly saw them reset to zero, you still couldn't access DAC at a higher rate, because you would be over quota at the end of the next 24 hours.
For the same reason, if you lose access to DAC for more than a few minutes, you can't use the lost quote.

DAC crashed yesterday night at around 23:05.

DAC fell over with high volumes of attempted unauthorised accesses, which of course it blocks. Not sure if it was accidental or deliberate yet but we are investigating. Our new version (due real soon now) has different connection handling to prevent against this.

Will this new version include the promised addition of the IPS-KEY (and support for multiple IP addresses)?

Yes and yes.

What about multiple connections from a single IP?

eetc

why would you want multiple connections from a singel IP ?????

laskos... If you are running NAT at your firewall then all your internal hosts appear as one IP externally.

Jay, thats a shame :(

As a Nominet tag holder, do you not read nom-announce etc?

as a nominet tag holder i do read the nom-announce. my SPAM filter must have thought it was crap.

I thought the DAC was going to require your TAG for access ie to stop multi tag holders DAC'ing but reading up on this its just the current TAG added to the reply..

Whats that useful for?

A last updated reply field would have been more useful.
