It's interesting how fun things like these usually turn out to be a short term fad (if they actually do take off)

Like the hoverboard last year which seems to have died out now

I wonder why the simple things endure, like skateboards and surfboarding, but these things go away quick

Maybe it's because of the learning progression with the above examples keeps people interested whereas all you can do on these motorized things is "go"

But then Jet Skiis have stuck around hmm I wonder what sets them apart.

I guess maybe a lot has to do with effort / return ratio. Agreed this would be a right faff to set up, carry and then get an hour max out it before charging. Good fun though.

Skateboard.... all day.Limiting factor is legs. Surfboard .All day. Jetski.... hours on a full tank and miles of range.

Plus. I doubt that prop would get my 6ft 4 16 stone butt out the water at 25mph :)

I'm also trying to work out if that's real film or CGI . Something doesn't look quite right on the water/wake

Nope, some of that video doesn't look right.

Not watched all of it ....what happens to it, and the motor, when you fall off?

Its a handheld controller, so I guess its tethered via Bluetooth or a cable. Probably same as a jet ski. If safety key pulled it stops.

So, some marine plywood, a remote controller and a hacked rechargeable Dyson and you're off! :)
