Guys I'm looking for (in general) the best place to register international names, also in this case I would like to know where you think the best to register a Portuguese name.

Now there are lots of place the reg the .com.pt extention but I want the .pt!

Any ideas, any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers...

Anyone know of an online company called 101domain.com??

Not sure if they do them but Eurodns.com people always seem nice enough :)

I'm not 100% sure, but I think speednames might do them.
They certainly used to before they changed the domain law in portugal, so we have several .pt domains with them from back then.

Hi, had a little search around...

Have you tried www.dns.pt ??

There's an English link at the top of their homepage. I don't have any .pt names and have never used them. Whether the .pt process is or is not complicated, I don't know but their website seems very clear and easy to use.

I don't know anything about .pt domain rules in general, or the changes in Portuguese domain law that Alex-Z mentions but, assuming your circumstances all fall in line with whatever .pt rules there are, dns.pt may be a good place for you to buy and manage your .pt names.

Best wishes, Richard

P.S. Although you seem to be able to register, pay, manage your .pt domain through dns.pt, they also have a link through to a list of .pt registrars in the bottom left hand corner.

Thanks Richard,

Brilliant find and its all ok till you start to get into the actual registration process and then in goes from English back to Portuguese

Still I'll have a look through their accredited registrars but thanks again for trying.

Jim.

Jim.

I experienced the same but when the site goes from being English to bringing up the registration page in Portuguese, you just need to click the top link "In English" again and it opens up the whole registration process in English.

Let me know if that still doesn't work for you.

Best wishes, Richard
