Have you tried rebuilding the statistics etc from within the VB Admin?

I rebuilt all the table etc. but not sure I want to run this:

Rebuilding statistics will cause the loss of the total forum view and active users data. Only run this if you believe you really need to! Once the data has been replaced, there is no way to restore your database.

Did you restore the db from a year ago admin? It's just that an old user now appears to be un banned?
