Just sold some gold

Had some broken gold and decided the best place for it was to be melted down to take advantage of the very high prices right now. Anyone done similar?

always wondered what happens if you don't like the price they give you? do you have to pay for delivery back?

Sold £100 worth at a event at a local hotel last week.

aha, I took it into a jewelers and made them weigh it for me in front of me (I had done so at home)...I got a reasonable price. Not stellar but nearly 70% of official gold rates for that class of gold.
