On the day the winter Olympics started, NameDrive got their own surprise gold medal, being voted Best Domain Parking Program out there! This was a vote we weren't even aware was taking place, but it's always nice to hear such things. 543 people took part.

We don't like to brag ourselves, but we're very happy for the well-respected DomainNameWire.com to do it for us!

I'm hoping we get some kind of donut-shaped medal.

Oops. That, er, makes me look a bit foolish as if nobody knew the survey was taking place...

Anyway, we're delighted with the result! :)

Nice to know that the first 6 months' hard graft's been appreciated by 14% of the 500-odd people!

Ed

At least we know you didn't try to influence the result!

Genuinely no 1.

now i use both sedo and namedrive and i like them both.

but ;)

if i can play devils advocate

sedo and sedo pro have been listed separately (would sedo have come top if they were listed as just one sedo entry?)

I don't want to take away from namedrive as they have done an astounding job, just throwing the comment out there ;)

Haha. I was waiting for that. Tsk. Stats, stats. Still, I suppose that we got only 5% less of the vote than an established brand that's been out there for several years, then we can't grumble :)

Well done NameDrive!

Thumbs up service from me!

thanks for the reply ed, glad to see my post was taken as intended ;)

i agree if your first year is anything to go by sedo should be concerned.

good job.

I couldn't take it any other way :)

It's clear that if you add the two together it comes to more than us, but we're also aware that they are essentially different programs. People who voted for Pro could well have been no fans of Sedo Standard but converts from DS or Fab, so I feel they can be kept apart statistically :)

That's me, for one. Big fan of Sedo Pro, not particularly enamoured with Sedo standard.

I like Namedrive. Awesome service. If you ever have a problem it is resolved within 24 hours. That is service, then you check the monthly earnings. Faultless.

I'm sticking with ND. Well deserved!!

Are we going to have an acorndomains vote? Or is that too controversial??? Like which is best Sedo or ND??

Hey Ratboy are you trying to cause trouble!

thats nothing - i want to see a vote on who's PPC is more!! :D

Ours.
Pah.
Theirs.
Pah.
Both of ours...

Seriously though, having spent 14 hours yesterday glad-handing all the biggest Gerrman domainers in Düsseldorf, I was asked a million times "Ed, I love ND, but please tell me in what areas you can say you categorically beat Sedo". And it's an impossible question to answer. It really is a domain by domain affair. We do have some entire accounts where we're better, and we do have some entire accounts which are painful to look at on occasion. The fact is that one program will outperform the other on anything from 30-90% of a portfolio. I can't say categorically which areas are the highest PPC, I can't say categorically what type of domains, but I can say that you will do best for yourselves to test and park where the names earn most, getting more money from Sedo and from ND. Lovely.

Ours.

Pah..

Happy SUnday.
