Need to earn a little money

Hi All

I am new to this and posted a couple of previous messages. I have a few domain names registered with 1and 1 (I know now they may not be the best people to deal with) I want to put the sites to work and hopefully start earning a little money from them.

I want to gain some money from them so I believe its best to park them with a company and earn cash from the select adverts.

Any advice an best company to deal with?

imodo and namedrive is quite good, if you view to sale it as well try sedo(althought their parking rev is less)

Thanks for the response, may sound a real basic question, do I keep my domain with 1and1 or does it get transferred to the new company who will host the site. Only asking is I was looking at transferring my domains to 123 reg

you don't need to change your host, just go manage domain on 1and1 then change the nameservers to the parking services, easily done.

Don't transfer to 123-reg their service is rubbish, I will recommend daily or heartinternet if you are looking to transfer out of 1and1

Thanks again, I.m getting there slowly. Has anyone had any experience with Adsense from Google?? One of the reasons I looked at 123 reg was because you get a free web page for each domain name, I believe I will need this to then sign up to a scheme like adsense? or am I totally off the beaten track on this one?

Word to the wise, transfer the domains to 123-reg first.

Once transferred and sitting nicely in your account you simply change the nameservers to that of Namedrive and, after opening a Namedrive account, pop them on Namedrive, optimse them (set colours, templates, keywords), sit back and relax.

Once thats done, see which is the best to develop. Using some webspace (perhaps not best to use the free 123 one, ask on here for a cheap hosting package at the time) and create a website using a free template. Apply for a Google Adsense account, add the Adsense to your website, sit back and relax.

Where's the offer, don't think they do give you free hosting probably free for a few months and then charge you for it, if it's completely free I would expect them to advertise on your site, you are better finding a free web host that don't show ads on your site.

Thanks for getting back to me regarding this. I have 10 domains at present, 9 of which I will look at registering with 123 and adding the namedrive package.

The other site I want to develop as I know I can get more eople looking at it that way, what would be your advice for this last site? remain with 1and1 and add the adsense or transfer the domain to someone else?

This really is hopefully one of the last of my amature questions, I promise.

To be honest, I would not walk before I could run.

Park all the domains (perhaps not the one you wish to develop) and get a feel for how parking works, how SEO works, just how the whole domain bubble works too.

Otherwise, you may go in half-cocked, waste a lot of time ballsing something up, lose interest and drive, not renew and get into ballroom dancing or something.

really depends if you got a site worth developing, we don't even know the name.

I heard 1and1 is really bad won't advise you to transfer to 123-reg either, but if you want go for it as 1and1 is worst

To be honest I dont mind who I use as long as they are reliable so if its not 1and1 or reg 123, any recommendations??

the site I am developing is www. eastgateecovillage.co.uk might not sound like anything to a lot of you but in a year or so it will be a massive eco village. I bought it to develop and maybe sell on at a later stage.

I have just followed advice on here and set up a site with namedrive, however I may be wrong but you cant add tags if its listed with namedrive, or can you?

The free page with 123-reg you talk about cannot have adsense added to it. 123-reg WILL put a small table of links in right hand corner of page, sometimes obscuring your header and text.

Although I too complain about their service, their servers are pretty quick and registering is an easy process.

I have only just started using Heart so I can't really comment about them yet but don't discount them. They have, what looks like, a good resellers package so look into that as well.

i would say carry on with 123-reg. i have never had any problems with them and their service has been great.
as for parking i would say definatley have a look at "whypark.com" costs a few quid to join but well worth it, i have made my money back in no time with adsense/affiliates etc.

but don't whypark gets you deindexed from G, or is that a myth? also I noticed all my imodo parked are deindexed as well...
