SSD (search_short_domains) is an extremly fast tool to search for short generic domains like LLL, NNN, LL, NNNNN, or even single-letter/number domains.
The tool has a special "learning" technology that makes checking domains factors faster after the first scan - in tests it was able to go over ranges of up to 30.000 domains/min. (500 domains/sec.) thanks to knowing what domains are potential candidates.
The tool works with most of the popular international TLDs and many ccTLDs too. It has additional feautures like: a watching tool - you can place a list of any (also long) domains and let the tool check all the time, alerts , search for repeating combinations like 1111,2222,...,zzzz, prefix and postfix setting, setting to avoid hyphens (or not avoid) etc.. It runs with Java under Windows, Mac and Linux.
It is also possible to write own scripts for individualized and automatized searches. As it comes with some nice scripts you can simply build them by copy and paste and the scheme is very simple - just 1 line per search.
