Newbie Question - Managing The Whole Process For Someone

I've sold a domain name (YAY!! :D), but the buyer is as technical as a can of Baked Beans, and doesn't 'own' any domains at present, they are in the hands of their web developer. But they would like to keep this one separate from their current site, and learn how to do things themselves.

What is the best way of me transferring the domain to them, but managing the whole process for them?

Would it be to create a hotmail (or similar email) address, to use for the transfer, and setup an account at say 123-reg (using this email) to transfer the domain into? That way I have access to everything, and once done they can take that email account and do what they like with it.

Or is there a better way that I haven't thought of?

Thanks

Seems about the easiest way but they have to mange the extra email account then. Maybe just use there regular email and have them forward transfer emails etc to you to take care of

Just email the transfer to yourself. Complete the new user details and that's it. Just send them their logins and advise them to complete a lost password procedure to fully protect it.

As long as you use their details and email address that's the end of it for you and it's theirs.
