News Focused Geo Wordpress Theme

We have an active website for our town alittlebitofstone/com which is built on a now defunct wordpress theme.

We also have a business directory on directory/alittlebitofstone/com which is based on directory press.

We want to move to a new fresher and more modern theme. Ideally mirroring the offerings you'd get with a local newspaper:

• News
• Sport
• Business
• Classifieds
• Jobs
• Motors
• Property
• What's On
• etc.

Has anyone any experience of good wordpress themes that have this whole site coverage?

Most of the Geo domains seem to be aimed at visiting the town, our site has always been about the news content so differs from what traditionally is pushed.

www.wrexham.com is good model for news + bits round the edge. Do that you'll be successful. Bottom line is you won't find a perfect solution in one hit if its off the shelf - it'll be 80/20 rule.

Ironically in my experience your sample is exactly the type of thing that looks the part but actually flops in these cases.

Cheers for the replies. We have a theme under our dev.alittlebitofstone/com but it's news focussed and doesn't do the other bits.

It may be that I need to weave some careful plugins into the mix to get the best we can.

Would also consider paying for development of said uber theme if I could get it done for a decentish price!
