Does anyone know who was invited to the Nominet dinner party at the five star http://www.wyndhamgrandlondon.co.uk tonight in London?

As I see James Bladel (Policy Director, Godaddy) has tweeted the following photo:

Godaddy, the champion of .UK! Up until a few months ago they weren't even using their own TAG and refused to transfer in any .uk domains and now they're sat at a five star dinner!

Does he suffer from dementia?
Is this in case he forgets who he is and where he is seated on his return from the toilet?

I wonder if he took that name card home for roach material?

.

just noticed that nominet list I provided the link to contains votes - not number of domains - so 1090 doesn't, I think, equate to the number of domains owned by godaddy. But the voting list is weighted on number of domains and you can see that godaddy's total number of uk domains must have been very small - a lot smaller than some of the portfolios owned by acorn members.

Godaddy is BY FAR the largest registrar in the world. The fact that they don't have many .co.uk domains YET is hardly a reason to exclude them, especially if the aim of the dinner was to generate more partnerships and business (I've yet to find out what the dinner actually was i.e. an "internet awards" dinner, Trust dinner, partner dinner, etc.)

Agreed, mainly venting my previous frustrations at the worlds biggest registrar allowing domains to be transferred to its TAG when it had no intention of accepting them and just leaving them in limbo for 5 days until the transfer timed out. Wasted hours of my life helping customers out.
