Hi,

I recently purchased a website and the seller has transfered the domain to my Heart Internet account but not via Nominet.

After several emails I have not been able to get hold of the seller.

How do I make sure the domain is registered with my Nominet details?

I have searched the forum but haven't been able to find an answer :(

Thanks a mil

The seller should have completed a registrant transfer request, this would have caused Nominet to send you an email (probably prompting for payment of transfer fee) which will have the details for the transfer process.

If you have not received this, then you may get some help from Nominet if the seller has gone awol, but you will need proper paperwork backing up your purchase.

Something that proves you bought the domain from the current registrant, so ideally an invoice with the registrant's name & address along with your name and address. If you don't have this that I would suggest trying harder to contact the seller as Nominet are very unlikely to act without decent evidence.

Why not ask them what their processes are for this situation, I guess they get many similar enquiries each week, they usually respond same day if you ask before mid afternoon, so an enquiry sent now would usually have the answer tomorrow.
