Anyone sold any .org.uk domains recently ?

If so what kind of prices are they fetching.

Only ever had 2 .org.uk names, sold surveyors.org.uk on ebay recently for £250, emailed 10,000 surveyors telling them domain was for sale on ebay, got 1 bid :???:

Caught lifestyle.org.uk today.

Cheers

Mark.

Haven't got that many .org.uk domains but have just done a deal on a first name .org.uk for just over £200.

More importantly though, where did you get an email list of 10,000 surveyors from???

Whilst the majority tend to sell low to mid xxx with the odd xxxx personally, I believe a number of .org.uk names can potentially outstrip the majority of .co.uk sales to date... To my mind, it's all about 'niche' end use...

Aside, it's nice to see the interest in .org.uk developing...

Sure...

UK Charity sector top 200 in eng/wales spend over £7 billion operationally each year... Outside of investment banks, charities are the biggest investors on the global stock markets...

.org.uk

Hi,
Yes I tend to agree, .org.uks are on the up. Was always going to happen. Don't get me wrong the .co.uk's will almost always be worth more. The fewtimes .org.uk will be better/worth more whatever, is rhinoplasty or campaign or sexchange etc. Sometimes for the organic food market too as a lot of the customers are a fickle lot. Not saying wouln't rather have .com 'cos would. Just sell it! I have sold 7 domains in last week. All .org.uk Granted very low£xxx but still huge profit margin & shows interest is growing.
What some have to envisage is, a small business that wants a generic word as it is their trade or name, does not have the funds or availability to bag a .co.uk or .com To them sometimes it can make great sense to pay just a few hundred quid for a nice memorable generic domain, even if .org.uk It's a very established domain ending after all. Plus by sticking to your own country's domains you have an inbuilt knowledge of what works, how & when. In business terms & others. The only domains I am buying at mo is .org.uk Not going to print the crackers I have bought recently but will keep you all posted on sales! Please do same for me. I wish us all luck & hope we can all bring some extra bacon home!!!

You nailed it!!!!

With the increasing awareness on .co.uk and the increasing reality that the good ones are gone but, .org.uk's are a cheaper alternative, I only see an upside for buyers and sellers alike...

Well done with the sales...

;) Their are some good ones...

.org.uk

Cheers Timbo,
Got to stop registering at mo or will bankrupt myself. One thing I find really intersting is when I do searches on a particular domain, how often none of the 'other' domains have a holding page, parking or a site, but it is with great regularity that the .org.uk domains are actually being used as sites which is encouraging & good. It just backs up what we're saying. No bigtime domain investors will come in for them & just sit on them, but real people will come in with real money & pay sensible prices. A real levelling out will occur.
One other thing I noticed the other day, was searching around & thought just hop to property.com & see who owns it. It's parked! Crappy parking page & if you visited it I doubt you would click on anything. No doubt he/she is bring in some dough with it but more realistically the company that owns it is so rich it just doesn't want anyone else to buy it. A bit like Chelsea fc!
That domain must be worth millions & here we are scratching around! Visit Germany.com this Guy's worse. He totally missed the boat with the world cup, I think he's mad though, not rich . anyway take care pal & everyone else. Logging off. Guy

So what, in your opinions, would a 3 letter bog standard org.uk be worth?

EG, something like: dgf.org.uk

What price are you setting on Sedo?

Less than £6

Like maj, wpl, ytl, ypl, yml, hml and hundreds of others.

There are benchmarks in real life. The reality that .co.uk prices are up does not mean you can project same for .org.uk, unless you have sex.org.uk or business.org.uk

.org.uk's

Nothing in life is black & white, neither are domains. I agree at the moment random 3 letter .org.uk domains are not worth much. That is unless you are fortunate enough to own a particular combination where a lot of British companies have. In which case the co.uk is gone. They may not want to sell or asking silly money. What do you do? Only one other company can have the alternate .org.uk Eventually they will go up. Not as much as .co.uk or .com.
Obviously when they are all gone, their value will increase, on a steeper gradient than say .co.uk at that time, as they have stabilised at best. The increase in .org.uk prices may bring down .co .uk prices. It's supply & demand. We have seen it happen to all other endings. The other point is there are many other words that can have the .org.uk that many believe are as good as co.uk some better. For all the reasons discussed on other occasions.
Examples are funerals , aid , give , hospitals, care etc. etc.

Don't want to state the actual name, but it wasn't a word, xxx or 3 repeating letters.
