Prenom 5th ?

Is it me or are Prenom's dropping on the 5th of the month ?

My next question is how long are they in the Prenom suspended state before they drop ?

Yes I know the official answer is "Only one senior member of Nominet staff decides on what day to drop a batch of pre-noms and the system then randomises those over that day." First come first serve and all that ........

But it doesn't stop them dumping them on the same day ......

With such valuable domains I'd like to see "random" really be "random".

Also I notice domains like:

shape.co.uk
scope.co.uk
texas.co.uk
morgan.co.uk
northern.co.uk

are we going to have more bounce.co.uk DRS cases ????

There was a nice predictable prenom pattern up until Christmas. Made it quite easy to work out the exact prenom button pushing event. Unfortunately I didn't have a DAC script then and it was just one tag grabbing them all

The button pushing went a bit sporadic after the one tag fiasco, so would seem likely it could drop back into a pattern now.

I can only presume the dept. of button pushing owned a calendar and thats how they managed to push it successfully on the correct day before and Andrew is just remarking that there is now possibly another pattern evolving, in which a calendar might also prove useful

I can see just under 1,400 that are suspended and waiting to drop...

But there's no doubt more still waiting to be suspended.
