If anyone is having trouble with .eu renewals ie. registrar contractual disputes then I would like to here from you.

Yes seems like the terms are names must be renewed 10 days before they are due for renewal.
jUst had godaddy renew all my .eu names 10 to 14 days before they where due for renew. on asking them whats going on was told its policy with .eu 10 days before renew date they must be done

I was offered a good rate from one registrar so i decided to transfer out a 1000 names but for some reason the current registrar has declined the transfer. I hope for their sake they have their terms right as they could be liable for all lost names if they fail to stand by their contract and the terms imposed by EURID

We will have to have an area on here to name and shame registrars for bad practices

Haven't heard .eu need to be renewed 10-14 days prior - OpenSRS have just clarified re-renewals:

"...- When a .EU name is renewed, the registration year technically ends on the last day of the last month of the term. For example, if a domain name is renewed on April 20, 2007, the registry will apply the renewal on April 30. However, in order to prevent confusion, OpenSRS will display the expiration date as April 20..."

If not renewed they go into a 40-day Quarantine period and like the .com Redemption period there is a charge to reactivate them.
