I'm sure there's a multitude of approaches on this one. But, from a business standpoint there's also an equal amount of methods of shooting yourself in the foot.
Given the amount of postings, emails or whatever contact method we choose to use. The number of individuals that think (and act) as if they are the 'The Third Person' ie,
We are:
Our Company
Our Business
And the rest - Trust me give it a rest.
All Businesses right from the 'one man trader' up to the 'multi-national' understand 'Due diligence' apparently far more than domain sellers. If you really want to impress then include a registered address - company registration, anything that substantiates your " We are statement"
And if the truth is your really operating from the bedroom you share with your younger brother - Call a spade-a-Spade. without undermining any strength the domain has.
Some of the best approaches I've ever seen start with "I" and end with something like "thank you for your time" - The worst try to be something they're not, It's an easy mistake that I certainly made in the past and every newcomer and the many that should Know far better continue to make.
