just noticed it sold at £1k at DL

I don't even recall seeing it listed - what was it a one-hour special ?

@ Bailey, it was a normal DL auction, there were 2 bids, I think they might have been pre drop bids? I bought it at bin price shortly after Dave posted it which ended the auction.

thanks - I'll ask admin to delete the thread if requested

Nice buy by the way.

PS I'm still trying to get my head around the UK market and all its dynamics - Guess it shows I'm paying attention

Must be one of the quickest transactions to take place DL. Purchased at BIN within minutes of posting and WHOIS updated already. :)

Good on Systreg - i'd say.

I appreciate most of the guys here at Acorn don't operate in the TLD's - but it is a different Planet - and after 10+ thankful years in Gtlds (and i'm not leaving) - it's wonderful to discover a new learning curve that operates in our cctld.

Its not that hard to spot the 'market drivers and perceptions' either - but i'm not sure I would be thanked for sharing my thoughts

Thanks, I don't have any plans for the name, I bought it for no other reason than it's a nice pronounceable LLL, and thanks to Dave for the fast hassle free transaction, he's a diamond to deal with.

Todays European ruling on Satellite TV "reception" ( Public viewing is still in the air) - should give this particular domain a nice Leg-up

@ Bailey, I Googled for the satellite TV reception item but couldn't see anything related to that, do you have a link, please?

The decision was only made very late today - It's definately featured on at the BBC.co.uk (Top Item)

The UK publican that has won the right to buy her "Sat reception" from Greece at one quarter of the cost of Sky - IT'S A BIGGIE

You have to stay awake when things are happening - To cap it all I'm in the process of selling/transferring two domains one to Australia the other Stateside tonight - No peace for the wicked I say

Thanks for the links/info, not being a satellite user apart form free to air channels, I knew nothing about that, interesting read and well done to the landlady for taking them on.

What sort of end user value would you put on this domain?

I think mid to high £x,xxx if you find the right buyer Kev.

Very happy with the quick sale, currently off work with the man flu, so the catch brightened my day, but I must admit I do wish Kev had at least 'thought twice' before hitting the BIN! Was only up for 9 minutes.

One thing I didn't consider until now was selling to Sky themselves as a defensive move, might be worth thinking about.

Thanks Dave, I had a good look around last night at previous LLL sales and names currently for sale, was thinking around the same sort of mark, possibly a bit more on a very good day if a big satellite outfit really wanted it.

Haha, sorry mate , very nice catch, plenty would have been hammering the dac for that one. Hope the man flu clears up soon, in the meantime, really play on it with the Mrs, they love looking after us lol

Fingers crossed it'll happen some day :)

As soon as I saw the domainlore tweet for this one with BIN I had a feeling it would be gone sharpish!

My gut feel is £5-10k without too much problem. For a super fast quick sale i don't think Dave has done too bad for a days work - still DL would have produced £2k+ over its normal auction cycle imho
