Is it common for SEDO to question your monthly revenues?

They emailed me to say that my first months revenue shows signs of irregular traffic. Has anyone else had this experience or would know what they mean by this?

All my domains are recently registered and I dont not know any traffic history to compare with the sedo figures?

i made about 30 euros from 40 domains - is this high or low?

This is not something I have personally come across.. email them and ask them to expand on what "irregular traffic" means.

It could be that your domains are getting a lot of clicks from a particualr IP, or something like that, then again it could be sedo just sending out automatic emails (i have a million confirmation of owenership emails)

30e from 40domains.... it really dependends on what domains they are as to if this is good or not.

yeah i have also had the ownership problems all month and now have to slow wait for the domains to be entered into the "parking" service.

i wouldnt say that any names are brilliant but we're only talking 30 euros not thousands

As with any new system - it has to unrealistic for them to think that a user will not click on a few links in order to test their system - surely they filter this out anyway and take that as part of the program?

Can you give us an example of the names? this would make it easier to assess.

Sedo make 25% of the feed according to there website, so they have a 75% payout, wich is a pretty good figure imho. Im in no doubt that they make a lot of money from PPC but this is not the core of there business, they make most of there money on comission from selling domains. I guess this is why the PPC side of things is flakey a lot of the time. Having said this with the names I have with sedo I get good results PPC wise, so its not all bad

Revenue depends on

1) search section - loans, insurance, mortagages paying some of the higher rates. Sedo minimum is €0.10 per click but some terms attract €1.00 per click

2) # / percentage of click throughs - traffic will earn you nothing if the visitors are not clicking through. Monitor your visit to click ratios to be sure visitors like what they see when they arrive on the site. If the click through rate is low, change your Sedo keyword to something more suitable

anyone hazzard a guess at decent ratio?
I know this all "pie in the sky" stuff but just a pointer in the right direction would help

you'd be better off getting some content on the pages and using adsense / mirago / espotting in my opinion. You can make that kind of money in 15 minutes!

Do espotting provide sample search scripts or do you have to develop your own?

i think they give you them...we have modified them to suit what we are doing.

They can also help with implementation, though it really isn't rocket science.

It's a script that contains your affiliate Id with prebuilt searches.

Well you can add whatever HTML you like around the main script including logos etc

Just depends how much effort you want to put into it

what you might want to remember is that the search engines see this type of contruction as very unfriendly.....

I would use a mod re write to allow them to index those pages better. You could also try adding some related terms on each pages as you wont get to number one for loans...but you might do for cheap loan in exeter....

I see you have used Mirago...they are a great company and a really nice bunch of people work there. Their bids are improving all the time.
