I've only one .biz domain that I own (see footer) and I'm naturally keen to see if I can get some £ return from the site. Currently it's pretty much bare bones in terms of content, just listings. Apart from some authoritative and useful copy how else can I improve my chances of getting this listed somewhere half decent in SERPS?

Ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Fish

SEO'ing a .biz is the same as any other top level domain name like .com or .net.

how come that they don't seem to rank as well as well then? or let me put it another way, why don't you see .biz as frequently as you do the others high up in SERPS? if they rank 'the same as any other' tld (why don't people/google rate them?)

arghh one of my fave but also hated topics in forums...

"Which TLD?" "Can I SEO a .random"

Yes you can if you build the best possible site possible and work just as hard on the linking. If you do a better job than the whatever.com you can beat it.

Simple.

As to popularity there you go.... theres the resale and aftermarket effect for you.

Dont worry about it if the .biz is all that fits thats available or you have been able to get.

best of luck!

From my own experience: PR3 .biz would show in SERP at the same level as PR2 .com. Once you pass PR2 level, .biz is becoming visible, before that it's not easy. So PR is your friend. Good luck!

All I would say is this - why WOULD Google favour one TLD over another. It doesn't make sense. You don't see many .biz ranking well as there are fewer around, that all.

I know some extensions are favoured by spammers and that might be part of Googles search algorhythm, but most spammers use .com so that should make no difference.
