Recently sold domain on SEDO, transfer completed.

Had an email at 16:58 saying my payment details had been changed.
2nd email at 16:59 saying payment details changed again
another email at 16:59 saying credit note had been created for the domain sale

Have emailed SEDO regarding this.

May be just a glitch at SEDO, hope their payment systems haven't been compromised

This has happened for nearly every sale I have made over the last month or so. I have reported this 'feature' to my account manager but not holding my breath.

Stephen.

Thanks for the info Stephen.

Haven't noticed it happen on a SEDO sale before.

Maybe SEDO could switch the 'feature' off to avoid people thinking their payment is being hijacked.

SEDO have confirmed that their system will automatically send you an email saying your bank details have been changed before the payment is made

The email tells you to contact them immediately if you didn't make the change

Very wierd way of frightening the life out of Sedo sellers. Thankfully it hasn't happened to us yet although our reaction would be the same as yours. So what happens when someone hacks into a sedo account, around the time of a sale (which is very likely) and Sedo sends out the 'bank details have been changed' email when they really have been changed?

Come on Sedo - you really need to sort this silly glitch out before someone loses a lot of money.

I am looking into this. I have submitted a tech request.

regards

Joanna
