Hi All,

I'm on a self managed TAG and trying to get a domain to a chap on a different TAG. Now I appreciate you can do the nominet transfer, pay de monies and enter email address, gentleman enters new details and TAG ...bingo, job done.

Now. I had a discussion with said chap and he said previously if he set the domain to incoming with his registrar, that previously acorn tag holders have made it just 'turn up' in his account as his registrar will pop it into his account if registrant details match his etc.

Right. So I'm trying to change one domain registrant details via a self managed tag, There seems to be no way to add contact details and then assign a domain to that registrant. I have at least 3 of the 5 available.

I tried changing the contact details for the domain in what would be a punter email associated registrant account associated with a domain ( ie not tag holder control panel) but it just changed all 500 odd domain details on my tag.

Is it possible ? Would be good to know for future. Thanks for all help

I transferred a few this way a long while back, just logged in to Nominet to refresh my memory, do this.

1. Go to Web Domain Manager.

2. Manage Domains.

3. Click Transfer in top menu, enter domain in the box and submit.

4. Click Enter Registrant.

5. Click Add New and enter the required registrant details on the next page, go through the process and hit submit.

6. Go back to Manage Domains and click Release in top menu, enter domain in the box and submit.

7. Enter new registrar TAG and hit submit.

Domain will now be accepted by his registrar and should go in to his account, provided he's given you matching details to add in step 5.

That's how it worked for me anyway.

@Systreg Thank you ! Had complete blindness. Couldn't see what was right under my nose. That worked. Cheers
