Raving Jesus freaks have named the end of the world God knows how many times, apocalispe left right and centre, wonder when the next one will be

So what if I can't spell apocalispe, it's not the end of the world

An atheist and entrepreneur from New Hampshire, Bart Centre, is enjoying a boost in business for Eternal Earth-bound Pets, which he set up to look after the pets of those who believe they will be raptured.

He has more than 250 clients who are paying up to $135 (£83) to have their pets picked up and cared for after the rapture.

They would be disappointed twice, he told the Wall Street Journal. "Once because they weren't raptured and again because I don't do refunds."

haha, thats quality.

People have actually assigned millions of dollars/pounds to todays doomsday protection. I try to avoid reading any of this drivel - knowing full well that some will kick-the-bucket at dead on 6PM (yes that is the time - matters not where you are) so becoming true somewhere/someplace/someone

By the way the eastern hemisphere -says there is nothing to report

Never realised it was 6pm... guess I survived then as its 3 minutes past

I feel sick, tell the earth to stop shaking please !!!

I wouldn't have bet £1 on this prospect at £1000000/1 odds

There have been 2 earthquakes reported in the Banda sea south of Indonesia at 5.0 and in New Zealand at 6.1, and there's also some volcano currently erupting in Iceland, we're all doomed :) I bet the Jesus freaks make the most of that

[edit]

Re the Icelandic volcano, scientists don't think it'll cause the same travel disruption caused by the 2010 eruption there: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13487858

Just heard a large rumbling noise here, but it's ok, it was just a cattle lorry going down the lane, phewwww

It would have been a little more alarming if his prediction had coincided with the Japan earthquake and tsunami.

Funnily enough, there was an apocalypse merchant back in the late 1700s whose day of reckoning coincided with the worst thunder storm London had ever witnessed - causing quite a few worried faces in the city's taverns.

That must have been frightening for them without having social media to get all the latest news saying it was only thunder and rain

Maybe he'll switch to less dramatic predictions now. Whether Adelle will stay at number one in the charts, that kind of thing. He's no Paul the Octopus that's for sure...

Robert Fitzpatrick, a retired transportation agency worker in New York, said he
had spent more than $140,000 (£86,000) of his savings on advertisements in the run-up to 21 May to publicise the prediction.

After 1800 passed and nothing had happened, he said: "I do not understand why... I do not understand why nothing has happened."

"I can't tell you what I feel right now. Obviously, I haven't understood it correctly because we're still here."

I'm thinking of starting The Church Of Latter Day Domain Names . . .
