Where Are Flippa Credits?

I don't think anyone can actually answer this question, it's just that it gives me an opportunity to vent.

We all like something for nothing from time to time, and a few months ago I saw a good deal on another forum where Flippa would credit their members' account with 15 credits by entering a certain code.

This I did, and lo and behold - 15 credits were applied to my account, equivalent to $15 of purchases on their site.

This came in useful as I wanted to put a couple of domains in auction, each one costing $9.

So, since that time, I look for more voucher codes for me to be able to use, but without success.

There are tons of sites 'offering' Flippa codes, but as yet I haven't found a single one with codes that work.

Included among the 'coupon sites, is Groupon, which I would have thought has a reputation to keep up. Even they don't have codes that work!

Ah well, I'll have to get used to paying. lol

I reckon all the auction companies have their upsides and downsides.

There are some things I like about GoDaddy for instance, but in a recent transaction I found the advice they gave me contradicted itself, and I could have easily lost the sale because of it.

A lot of the time it seems to depend on who handles the Support Request, rather than specific policy.

Also, I think the delay between putting a domain into auction and it being accepted and listed can be quite long, but I suppose it could be argued they are just being cautious.

On the other hand, I find Flippa to be more consistent.

Bottom line is who is going to help me achieve sales the best, and then get paid for them. The jury is still very much out.

Godaddy, flippa, and ebay are all places that people use to try and sell bad domains. They are usually filled with freshly registered domains, misspellings, and domains that would be unlikely to get any genuine interest or direct contact. I can't speak for everyone but I know that if I see someone selling linking to an auction on one of these sites it will be appalling before I even see the name and they most likely entered the market within the last 6 months. I have never seen a premium domain at any of them. These are usually the same types that use estibot as a sales tool and think they are going to get rich quick in the domain industry but then either adapt over time or disappear by next renewal.

I have to agree with you about the 'get-rich-quick' domainers.

Some of the asking prices I see are so unrealistic.

A lot of my sales are through Afternic/GD.

Flippa is garbage these days.

I've made some sales through GD, but although I have domains listed with Flippa I've recently gone with Afternic. They probably have a far greater reach than most other platforms.
