Does anyone have any experience of using the backup option in WHM. I've set mine to create daily backups and ftp them to another server, it's creating the folders/files fine but they are empty (0 bytes) and I can't find any log files to tell me what's going wrong??

Cheers, Grant

s'alright, I found the log file. Looks like I'm running out of disc space when it's creating the backup file.

Cheers, Grant

Have got loads of experience with WHM/cpanel servers, so feel free to drop me a PM/email :)

You can also get 0byte backups if the FTP requires passive FTP, and you don't select this option! :)

Cheers Jee, I tried passive and non-pasive and got the same, this is in the log file:

Creating Archive ....
gzip: stdout: Disk quota exceeded
Done

Is there enough space on the drive to duplicate the account it's backing up?

No, LOL I think that could be the issue, should probably have checked that first!!

:)

Cheers, Grant

Grant, get a dreamhost or servage account, I have rammed 100s of gb's of backups onto dreamhost hehe :)

p.s. Jee thats good to know, I may shoot you a pm now, if I can work out how to word it :)
