I can only see sedo providing a website, after that you seem to do nothing to earn your commission?
Your new transfer system whereby you can leave messages do you actually look at messages posted as you seem to be ignoring the ones I post!!!
Payment by buyer was made on day 1 as was transfer of domain yet sedo are holding things up T+5!

I apologize for the delay in the transfer agent getting back to you.

I have forwarded your complaint to the transfer manager.

I will contact the transfer agent in question and ask them to treat your transfer as a matter of urgency.

If you have any further problems with transfer delays please contact me directly and I will do my best to resolve the situation.

Kind regards

Joanna

We never pay out before we have verified the ownership changes via the whois and received confirmation from the buyer that they have ownership of the domain.

Hi Joanna,

If the whois confirms that the transfer has taken place why do you need confirmation from the buyer that they have ownership of the domain? I have on a few occasions noticed a bit of a delay before the credit note was created and wondered why there was a delay. What if the buyer gets the domain transferred to them but never confirms the fact to Sedo? I think the whois should be good enough and payment made as soon as the domain is transferred.

Many thanks

Nigel

Im my case. payment by buyer and transfer by me were carried out right away. It was after that it all went pear shaped. I notified sedo at each step but obviously wasn't a big enough commission to warrant decent service levels.

I had been waiting for 7 days now and still no sign of payment, before my experience was quite fast, I found that any value over £1k took a bit longer....

so it's 50/50 agreement for me on this subject..

To avoid a wrong pay out we request confirmation from the buyer but we do this with a deadline. In general it is 2 days if no response we assume everything is ok and pay out then.

It is our responsibility as an escrow service to do so to avoid losses on our and the buyers end.

If anyone has been waiting longer than the SLA times then please just contact me directly with the domain details and I will chase up the transfer for you. My email is [email protected].

Joanna

I've bought, and paid 5 days ago, but not recieved.

How long do normal transfers take?

Will send you an email now

So how long is the SLA time? so when should I contact you?

As I had one that took 10 days before but that was on the holiday period.

.co.uk or .com domains roughly take on average 5-7 days from start to full completion. If there is a delay, it could be down to either the buyer/seller or either registrar involved in a lot of cases. We have recently experienced some technical problems with our accounts software which may have delayed some payments. These problems should now have been sorted however.

regards

Joanna

Me too; whether its Sedo staff or the escrow side of things it patently evident selling through Sedo is way too slow...

they have to be seen to be doing things to warrant the fees they charge unfortunatly...

I've been waiting 5 days after payment too, not sure what they can do for 5 days??

Earn interest.

It's the luck of the draw on what agent you get lumbered with. Shaun is top notch.

maybe sedo should have a feature where when a domain name is in negotiations you have a drop down menu then you can select which agent/broker you want to work on your behalf.

Good idea. Have a drop down box agent select option. Agents could come on the forums and promote themselves, in turn Sedo could pay their agents a bonus of £5-£10 per completed transfer. The agent would be empowered to do better for themselves.
