Hi,

I've decided to sell some domains/sites direct to end-users.

I have a couple of developed keyword rich domains that rank well on Google (page 1, top 3), that I believe would be of interest to certain companies.

Do I start off with a short email / letter, briefly mentioning the benefits of a keyword rich website (traffic, ranking etc etc) to run alongside their main site ... or should I start with a full idiot's guide email with benefits etc etc?

All comments most welcome,

Thanks,

VSC

I would send a letter rather than an e-mail. The 1st page of the letter should pitch the domain to the end user and invite offers. I give an indication of what I'm looking for by saying "My best estimate is that this domain could be worth £x to a business in terms of improved marketing and visibility".

I then include a second page with bullet points about the benefits of a generic domain.

Then follow up with a phone call a week to 10 days later.

Good luck.

Hi Accelerator,

Many thanks - very useful.

Better get some nice letterheads printed now.

Is that link to your site? If so, is it okay if I rewrite that content to use myself?

Yes it is. Yes, you can use the content, try to give it a little tweaking and uniqueness though.
