Premium domain, got offered $4,

Here is my reply:

Hi XX

I'd love to accept your offer of $4 in "dream land".
Will you be expecting me to pay the transfer costs?

Seriously if you want the domain, make a serious offer.

.....

I hate time wasters and tyre kickers.

$4,000,000!!!!

His 0 buttons is probably broken :D

i'm usually more professional - this is something like i send and you are all welcome to develop this further for offical use by all members
thanks

dear xxxx
many thanks for your considered and obviously informed offer for the domain

asdfghjkl.co.uk

evdidently your offer reflects the seriousness of your investment and you have a complete understanding about the value of the domain to you business, branding, marketing potential. We are confident that this domain would rapidly increase your business potential in all areas.

Normally we would have to do extensive analysis of the search frequency, global and regional, a study of the potential competition and brandability of the domain in order to achieve what we believe would be a reasonable value of the domain. We went through a similar extensive business process with our highly experienced staff before aquiring this domain for ourselves. But your unique approach to this sale means that in this case we would consider making a loss on the work we have already invested, the historic renewals and marketing campaigns associated with this domain in order to meet your offer.

If you could please send me your offical registry email address we will send you links to nominet and their guides to the transfer process we will also include our own sales documentation that will guide you through the process of taking your generous offer and sticking it so far up your arse that the two digits that comprise your percieved value appear in your eye sockets you ignorant prick.
We sincerely hope you F**K OFF and we look forward to not doing business with you again
Kind regards

Thanks Charlie for the professional template, I needed a standard template for the low ball offers.

if someone offers $4 for a domain you clearly value highly, just ignore them, it serves no professional purpose to reply.

agreed
(was just kidding) :D

no point even communicating as they re chancers or simply need educating

wait for decent offers

Hmmm

I sort of enjoy responding. Plus in the past have flushed out some buyers who started really low and went upwards. It's rare but does happen.

I have removed all my domains from landing now, they all resolve to thin air.

This way they all have clean history if I start a site, regard google etc.

Plus if anyone does track me down and make an offer through GreyWing**co**uk I'll know they are serious.

You do get some people that is testing the water, I had a $100 offered ended up sold for $6k, so my policy is to reply to all offers.

Personally, if i got a $4 offer i would ignore it completely, however, i do agree that sometimes lowball bids can be increased significantly if you reply, i have had a couple of offers starting at $100 that they then went up to $2k and $3k,my reply in these instances were straight and they were left under no illusion that they were way out,so imo it's always worth replying to percieved lowball offers, however $4 is not even lowball lol.

Imagine emailing them back crap, only to find out they missed off a "K" as said above.

Allways best to just not reply, or reply simply telling them that you wont take offers under £xxxx etc.

He might have missed off a 'k' after the '4'.

it works if they come back with 40k offer :D

actually someone just lowballed me on a top .com
although this was an unusual lowball as they used the network solutions certified offer thang
so it costs them $19 to send an offer
so if they only up by $50 it will have cost them $19 to do so again

actually this looks an interesting one as small entrepreneurs and small business owners tend to be a smarter and would find out how to contact even a privacy whois email or use the contact me link on site
hoping its gonna be a decent buyer/big company
but you never know. the smallish players can have a lifechanging domain and pay good cash for it
the biggest players seem to want to wipo your ass for generics. george soros a recent example

fingers crossed. first offer was $200 which is madness to lowball like that when it costs them $19 to offer each time. and they must know realistically domain is low xx,xxx range

You can use my template freely...

"My cock your mouth, never gonna happen either"

I had this come in other day

How about £10?

Charlie xxxxx

-------------

how about " stop wasting my time"

Sean
-------

I am sorry, no need to be rude, I have tried registering other sites and they were about the same price, what is a reasonable offer?

----

I know it is quite unauthodox, but would you like to do a trade. I own xxxxxfamily.co.uk. According to keywordspy "portrait family" is a term searched for 368000 times a month in the uk alone. - see link -

http://www.keywordspy.com/research/search.aspx?q=portrait family&type=keywords&market=uk

However it does not quite suit my needs. xxxxxpainting.co.uk on the other hand is more fitting but is only searched for 68000 times a month. - see link -

http://www.keywordspy.com

You would get a more valuable domain name and I would have a more suitable name for my business.

Regards,

xxxx Tupman
