Hi, as a few of you know I own a good number of premium .co.uk domain names and was thinking about asking if any one would be interested in developing some of them on a profit share arrangement. I know there would need to be some kind of contract involved but I've no idea if anyone would consider this?

Seems a shame just to sit on them for what could be years waiting for a good offer.

If there is any one interested in talking then please get in touch.

Thanks

Scott

Had a few PM's, will reply to them when I'm in the office tomorrow.

Thanks

Scott

By "developing" them do you been designing a website to go with the domains?

What would the benefit be (£ wise), for anyone that took it on?

The reality is in this kind of proposal - Is that the domains ( If worthwhile) already have the stand alone value (resell) that is always on the table. Very difficult to get someone to work-for-nothing in this kind of Scenario - unless of course it's a very top draw generic

It says quite clearly in the original post about a potential profit share arrangement. That's what the benefit would be. ;)

Rob, I think many non-developers go through the same thinking processes (me included) that revenue share is workable. The reality is NO.

Why share when you can buy and do. - unless of course that is a domain outside of reach

I was just responding to the above. They don't get much more top draw.

No idea if it is workable, or not.

I knew you and many others were on the wavelength - but given the number of requests posted of late. it does require a reality check (thinking) that I'm not sure many do.

Results payment systems work as endorsements - Not primary sources.

As Rob has mentioned I would assume these are Scott's best names, so will be out of reach for most developers to purchase outright.

Then I hope Scott wouldn't take offence and equally appreciates just how much this has become a growing request - And not just at Acorn.

I don't think it unwise to actually list the domains that are open to revenue share

This will probably give some background on a few of the domains if you haven't seen yet (won't hurt to give that page an extra backlink).

Would love to develop some of those if it wasn't for the fact that I don't particularly like sharing :)D).

Anyway, hope you find a talented developer who has the required expertise to make the most of the domains.

Hi, yes the domains I had in mind for a joint venture where one's like Gold.co.uk, Accessories.co.uk etc. Not really considered anything like this before and as a few people have posted might not be a possibility but thought it worth asking. I've had a few PM's and will answer back so sorry if you haven't had a response from me as yet. I'm just waiting on a couple of 'end users' to get back to me with offers on a couple of domains as I would like to sell a few if the price is right before considering joint ventures.

If anyone else is interested then please feel free to contact me with a couple of examples sites they you have developed. Any joint venture would have to include a contract stating a minimum duration etc to make sure it's worth the time and effort someone puts in. Could also include a percentage of any future domain / site sale if value was added to the domain because of any site.

Thanks

Scott
