How Many Things can you do once you have registered a domain name ?

Do you get baffled with the amount of options you have once you buy a domain ? Its hardly surprising ! I began listing a few of the possible scenarios that there are with just one domain. That is without factoring in the different subjects that a domain can relate to. A few examples below, I have left loads off the list..............

Give a false impression of yourself.
Pass off.
Use as a criticism site.
Use the email addresses for spam.
Copy a previous site from The Wayback.
Try re-inventing pixel-ads.
Use it for a forum.

I always like seeing somebody take one of the domains we've sold and turn it into a real business. Yours is a great example!

LOL - a very good list there Mo - I have a similar post I was working on for a blog from about 18 months ago that I never finished - but only about the half things you've mentioned there!! (although I do have "Get Legal Demand and.... " that comes with quite a few options all based on experience).

I may have to revisit and see what can be added!!

I do this this from time to time, go to my Nominet account and spend half an hour or so just looking over what I've bought/acquired over the years – kind of like looking over a coin/stamp collection I guess.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but just so you know, I'm guessing you didn't mean to make the 'Magazine Subscriptions' link in your signature go to the plural domain.

You could do what i did and reg loads of domains while working and then 2 years later while out of work and unable to renew them just simply watch them drop and cry, I am absolutley gutted at losing welshcostume.co.uk recently but hey that's how it is, anyway I'm back in work and once ontop of everything i'm going to buy some cheapies in the bargain basement to replace the ones I lost.

What I usually do with domains is make basic aff sites but I really need to promote them, I am working on a big pet site when I get spare time to do it.

Can relate to that big time, & on the Welsh theme i've still got wales org uk (but need to sell lol) have let lots drop recently many of which have been caught and of those some by AD members!
