Hi,
noticed a very heated Iran v Usa conversation going on yesterday & today on the dnforum.
Looks like The Iranian guy may have had a hack back! That is the iranian flag isn't it?
Try visiting the forum........

Pred

He can hack, but he can't spell, what the hell is he going on about? I can't make head nor tail of his beef with DNForum.

Yes, the Iranian flag. They are very patriotic people the Persians. Better not to upset them too much as they are easily offended - a latinesque temperament.

Is the hacker in Iran?

he is a domain "hi-jacker" basicly he steals peoples domains and sells them on, we're talking valuable domains here, not the usual rubbish that gets shoved around the forums.

People then proceed to discuss this persons activities and he gets all upset and brings the forum down.

It's the domainer's equivalent of "I don't like this game so that's it I'm taking my ball home with me so no-one can play!!".

dn

I guess that there are social reasons behind this. The hacker does not seem to want users talking about stolen domains.

hacking

Hi Creature,
how's it going? Think the conversation started in the Iran v Us thread. Poor old ehsan was taking a battering. He's pakistani though. Hang on , what's the flag being displayed? Need to check whether Iranian or Pakistani. Anyway it detiorated into this & that. Might have been other threads though TOO.
It's not the social.com thread is it! LOL
Pred;)

As far as I know Iranians don’t like to be pi**ed off or get banned from websites , pretty much every one in Iran is a hacker cus there are no internet laws back home.
Internet Service Providers use filters on their proxies so that internet users don’t access certain websites such as porn and etc…, so they have to learn the first basic hacking technique scanning and hijacking live proxies.

Bringing down a forum 4 an iranian is like drinking a glass of water.
 simple example
Write a Perl script, in command prompt enter couple of commands to execute Perl script, enter another command with the webaddress you are hacking plus the the user ID of the forum which usually 1 or 2 is used for the admin, a minute later the exploit gathers information, and grabs the hash, once complete, it will return an MD5 hash, as well as User ID, There are many places online where you can enter hashes to be cracked. 4 example “Cain & Able”, Once you crack the hash, you will be given a plain-text password. You now have the password! You can now login to account on whatever forum you were hacking.

still down

Dnf is still down!
I bet Ireit are pissed as they co-own & co-run along with Adam.
The Iranian thing.................
i mean they actually have suicide bomber schools. That footage the BBC showed of all of them parading in front of the new President strapped with explosives to their bodies was scary.
No doubt Hacker schools are just like Sunday school too.
I guess they could just keep doing it, again & again.
For the script kings out there...........is it really only forums they can attack in this way, or any sites with log-ins?
Cheers, Pred

you'll be waiting a long time ;)

Must say that, from a personal perspective, I don't like the nature of the users at DNForum and the owners don't seem to be the most efficient people around. It's the worst domain name forum around for several reasons. For example, it's the only forum I've EVER been banned from in nine years. And it's the only domain forum in which I've EVER suffered both racial and religious abuse - not once, but three times - in responses to innocuous posts asking for appraisals. Mods never do anything, unless you repeatedly complain.

I haven't been able to login for the last two months and not one of the six support queries, to different addresses, has been responded to.

Hmmm, after visiting:

Might give that a miss.

Rob, I believe the DNForum admin has reset all passwords site-wide, so I think what you have there is normal.
