If I go to a couple of my domains directly e.g.:

antiqueporcelain.org.uk

antiquepottery.org.uk

Then instead of seeing a Sedo sales page it does a weird redirect thing trying to go to places like Tesco and 3g and ends on a blank page instead.

Weird

Try antiquestrader.co.uk (not mine) goes to expedia one time, tesco another, while antiquesweb.co.uk (also not mine) goes to a sedo page.

I had something similar and other people had redirects to Groupon, see topic here:

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/sedo/101423-sedo-redirects.html

Mine were not going to the normal Sedo sales page for one of my LLL's, they were redirecting to a page that was something to do with winning an iPhone, I was told that it was because if certain domains don't have any advertisers available, they redirect it to this iPhone page instead.

Tried that one and the 2 in your first post, all go to Sedo parking for me, then again, the LLL I mentioned in my post above used to go to a Sedo page sometimes, but most times it was straight to the redirect.

Thanks Systreg I hadn't seen the other thread.

Sedo go from terrible to even worse don't they, it's like putting something on eBay to sell it, and when someone clicks to see what you're listing they send them to Tescos instead and tell you that you might earn a couple of pence.

ridiculous really, Sedo are utterly crap.

Just tried it on my LLL name and it redirected to this url first:

http:// 87580.affectsearch.com/fly?q=wab&enk=B5EGwabjZqmPiY/B5qkHgY+JZrGmiQeZhsEG4ybjhg==

That then redirects to this url:

http:// getaways.groupon.ie/&clickref=TR1-87580?awc=4345_1365183468_76daa98f911fbc9b9bd199f382822c37&CID=IE_AFF_1047_10_1_1&utm_source=aff_1047&utm_medium=aff_10&utm_campaign=aff_1&utm_content=aff_1&nlp

Tried it again straight after and it redirected to:

http:// 87580.affectsearch.com/fly?q=wab&enk=B5EGwabjZqmPiY/B5qkHgY+JZrGmiQeZhsEG4ybjhg==

It then goes to:

http:// freesearchquick.com/search.php?q=wab&sid=82085&sa=35&p=1&s=87580&qt=1365183480&q=wab&rf=http%3A%2F%2Fwab.co.uk%2F&enc=&enk=B5EGwabjZqmPiY%2FB5qkHgY%2BJZrGmiQeZhsEG4ybjhg%3D%3D&xsc=&xsp=&xsm=&xuc=&xcf=&xai=&qxcli=39f112db63d62c02&qxsi=d103ad76d0662269&mk=1&sx=1280&sy=800&bx=1280&by=637&mx=0&my=0&ifm=0&ol=46ef00e6f54982ed&tm=1365183481.7526&etm=1365183481.7636&cskey=pix46&cookie_hostname=.affectsearch.com

Or this:

http:// worddictionary.com.au/?utm_source=87580&utm_medium=optional&utm_term=wab&utm_content=optional&utm_campaign=WdauGlobal

Tried again and the normal Sedo parking page came up, not good for people trying to sell domains Sedo, please turn these bloody redirects off

It reminds me of the guy who bought up all of the tesco domains (or was it asda) and redirected them to tesco/Asda via an affiliate scheme, and made £thousands before being refused payment.

Obviously he did that because (domains with Tesco in it) because of the search volume, but if you're running a platform that is supposedly to sell domains, and you're playing this trick with possibly millions of domains, then they'll be raking in the cash.

Even worse, what if when I get redirected to Tesco it puts a cookie on my PC, and when I then go and do my shopping Sedo earn a commission.

I think what they're doing is blatantly dishonest and bordering on fraud - they are costing their customers lost revenue in lost sales in order to fill their own pockets via their customers domains at their customers expense.

In other words they're using your assets to make themselves money at your cost.

I can't get any of the domains mentioned to do anything but load a Sedo page, maybe they aren't low traffic anymore because we are all looking at them and hitting the refresh button

Got another example?

Admin

Admin, it's not traffic related, it's to do with having no advertiser, if there isn't an advertiser, it redirects to something else some of the time, which Sedo call "zero click". One of my LLL's get's more traffic than most of my domains but redirects a lot, whereas other domains with far less traffic don't.

[edit]

To add, this is where Sedo mentioned it:

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/sedo/101423-sedo-redirects.html#post388148

Zero Click is an additional feature of Sedo's Parking Program. If your domain is eligible for Zero Click, a visitor to your parked page will directly see a targeted advertiser landing page. Visiting the page through Zero Click is considered a click and is credited as such.

I asked a question about it after that and Sedo said:

Zero click is only available when our main advertising provider is no longer providing ads for a domain

They also said:

To stop an individual domain from using Zero Click you can simply set the domain to the sales lander template.

That doesn't work, all my domains are set to land on a particular landing page template, it still redirects though. [edit to add to this last bit] I was under the impression that all templates were sales landers, just logged in to Sedo and went to "parking optimisation" page where you can choose which parking template to use, and there's a template called "sales lander", why does it have to be that particular template, that one still shows ads like the others.

tried three of mine, two go to sedo and one.
Position.me goes to outrate.co.uk twice and the third time goes to one of those really annoying you've one an Iphone 5 type popup boxes.

Not impressed.

I contacted Sedo and asked them to stop my domains from doing the zero click thing and they have turned it off on my account.
