Interestingly people who have Google penalties on the .co.uk can just start again with the .uk

Nice, you could really do with making that page look nicer... wouldn't take much effort/time with a little bootstrap... Once you have more on there, I'd suggest you poke Nominet marketing to get their input too, I'd suspect they might be interested in supporting/supplying info to a "showcase" to support the ethos of "see dropping the .co bit was a good idea... all of these sites agree with us...".

    2pence.

Thank you for the input. I will be sprucing it up very soon! It's just a domain with a cloudflare worker at the moment. I've done as little as possible to get it up and running as basic and as early as possible. I'm going to include domain sales on there too I think to attract people to .UK, then we'll go from there. :)

Does it have to be co.uk to .uk? Nominet is an obvious one, but that was org.uk

@Domaintial I've just spent about 5 mins making it a look a little more pleasing to the eye. Obviously looking to give it real style asap..

Cheers. I have added Nominet to the list, whilst it's a bit of a cheat like DomainLore, they are forging the way ultimately by choosing .UK themselves.

You can use this search to find .uk sites, whether they switched or not is another matter

Spot on, that's awesome. I was using site:.uk but and I tried all sorts to filter out the .co.uk's but I didn't try a minus before the 'site:'

Only trouble is I shouldn't have said sites, "being used" is more accurate, since it's also showing .uk's being redirected like a.uk

For the purposes of the site, I see it as a place for people to see who is using .UK. In time this list might become so compelling that others will switch. So as a mechanism for this, just using .UK as the main UK presence for a site is enough as far as I'm concerned. Either not using the .co.uk at all, or redirecting the .co.uk to the .uk

We could really use more big hitters like pokerstars to add to the list if it's going to work. Nhs.uk and Parliament.uk are interesting ones. NHS has been on .UK forever and any government ones are non-commercial so they're not going to be as much of a draw to persuade others to switch. Worthy of the list I reckon nontheless.

Police.uk is another one. I really like that each county constabulary has its own subdomain, for example https://cheshire.police.uk

Would this be a good time to mention that ukgas.co.uk is going to auction soon? :D

    Updated https://switchedto.uk/ including a checker.

Enter a .co.uk or a .uk and it'll tell you whether the .UK resolves and if the .CO.UK redirects to the .UK. You can enter the protocol https:// or http:// into it to check each.

It's not perfect yet but it's working in it's basic form...

(Doesn't work on mobile yet. Working on that now)
