    Death of Retail

There was a CEO of a large com-any, I forget which one. He was giving an interview and said it was cheaper to open a shop on the High Street, run it at a loss than it was to advertise their online business. So basically he said it was cheaper to run a loss leading shop to support their online...

Stakeholder roundtable in Glasgow on Wed 11th September 2013.

It's going to be a very very weird one that, first question... Q: What happens if Scotland vote for independence in 2014. Do I need a address in England to keep .uk? A: Nominet....... eh, no idea!

What a good response from cameron

Luckily for Cameron, there is a bigger looking idiot in Miliband. That guy did himself no favours whatsoever. He should have just come out and said I'm against it, instead of playing games. At least Cameron acted with certainty when he lost the vote, I'm really no fan of his crownyistic...

What a good response from cameron

But Britain didn't start it, it's been going off for thousands of years. It's why they are called slaves, slavs's the Romans used to enslave people from the Slovakia area, hence where the word originates. Also don't be fooled by the liberal elite blaming us fr slavery, the Libyans were raiding...

Trading domain names should be banned

But there is a example of what he is saying, in Ireland. What happens there is there is no incentive for someone to release a domain name at all, ever. So they may as well just stick it in the companies inventory for if they ever need to use it in the next 500 years. There is simply no reason to...

Sorry but I thought you were marking things down as good and bad points. I inferred from that, that you were casting judgement on which bits you thought were right and wrong in the BBC's, hence which bits you agreed with. If I have it wrong and that you actually agree with some of the bad bits...

Edwin, I don't know how to break it to you but just because they don't agree with you on certain things, it doesn't mean they are wrong and you are right.

Great find Simon, that's actually shocked me on just how much on the ball they are. You generally don't find someone at such large non commercial organisations putting together such a detailed response that conveys the reality of the everyday real world person.

I'm sorry you feel like that but what you say isn't accurate and there is a lot of context to it. Again I'm not sure who is launching into vitriol but if you can point me to something I can answer it in context. Nobody invited you to be part of anything, not sure why you have emotionally...

No problem at all Sean, honestly no grudges on my part and I never take anything to heart anyway. I haven't seen the webcast but I have been told that because we had the microphones and others didn't, so it made us sound louder than what we were.

Yes .uk would exist, both would exist but could never be separated. If someone types in websaway.co.uk it would still revolve to websaway.co.uk in the browser. However if someone typed in websaway.uk it would resolve to websaway.co.uk The only way it would change is if you logged into your...

Things is we are not in charge of any official fightback against .uk, anyone is free to do whatever they want and spend the same time, effort and money to bring up alternatives.

It's not about winners though, it is about "no losers" whilst achieving Nominet's published goal of going to the second level. There are zero losers to what Stephen and I have published as a solution in the past. As Alex rightly says in his piece, the other issues should be split from .uk. Such...
