UK Leaves the EU - What happens next?

Funding is a tad like charities, once the top is creamed off , if there is anything left it goes to where it was intended.
If EU funding was working for the majority, the country would not have rebelled.
No need to get too technical about all this, people who get over technical ( as with Blair ) are normally looking for a job, or to deflect from the chilcot enquiry and the programme on channel five next Monday night.

The biggest lesson to be learned from this is that money , wealth and position should not be the only things that motivate politicians. For those who call being in the EU constitutes outward looking should have gone to specsavers.

Reform the EU. This was this biggest con trick, which I believe could have worked. It was ambiguous in it's message, Cameron saying he had accomplished reform, comrade Corbyn saying he would get reform. It was a con. The EU could not have been reformed to any measure that would have satisfied the issue of immigration, which just to clarify was to let unknown numbers of unknown people ( who we know are all human beings, which we were being constantly reminded ) from a population of 500,000,000 and rising, swarm onto an island which was becoming ever more attractive and is a welfare state.

Hmm, our national government signed up to that too...which is treasonous...handing over the nations powers to another entity.

We were never going to reform the EU...our leaders don't want to...they want it to progress further into a single state.

Why do people keep quoting from the Express and Mail? Look at the other stories on the front page - they put whatever spin they like on it. For all the faults of the BBC and the likes of the Guardian there is a semblance of intelligence and balance with those sources.

The Express headlines are there to sell papers. I don't think I'm seen the sun for two weeks.

Sky News is reporting that EasyJet has opened talks with regulators in the EU about relocating its headquarters from the UK.

The budget airline is currently based in Luton, where it employs about 1,000 people.

Not that I've seen (and that's an honest answer). Closest I could find was a BBC News vox-pop video from a couple of days back talking to 5 Leave voters about how they felt about what had happened since the vote was declared; all but one sounded pretty chirpy about things soon.

Michael Gove just made his speech in his bid to be PM.

He promised "An extra £100 a week to the NHS by 2020." That works out to about £5 billion a year.

It's worth noting that Osborne last year stood by a manifesto pledge that there would be £8.4 billion in additional funds in the NHS by 2020.

In other words, Michael Gove just promised the country over £3 billion less for the NHS than it was due to get under his own government's existing plans. Let's see if that filters through to the headline writers, or the tabloids.

I couldn't care less what paper I quote from to highlight a fact, are you telling me what they are saying is lies, it is not, it's how the EU works, the minority rule the majority and that page highlights this fact is a crystal clear manner. It's almost like Seb Blatter, he controlled FIFA for a long time, it was corrupt to the core, in a real world where lobbying means money, don't you find it strange how such a small amount of people can control 27 countries trade agreements with other countries. In a few years we will look back with a sigh of relieve that this all happened. No one expected it to be a picnic, but the price to be paid is small compared to the price of remaining in, the EU is in an impossible situation now, the bubble has burst, the far right just lost in Austria but now that election must now held again, and the far right (leave) is in a very strong position to win it.

Think about it what do large global companies want, control and cheap labor, do you really think having high immigration increases wages for the average job, of course not. If the EU survives more than 5 years in it's current form I will be shocked, the UK is now a beacon and alot of countries are now looking on admiringly at our choice and fancy it themselves, again immigration being the key point. Hold the same referendum in France or Germany right now and the result would be the same, it's why they don't hold such referendums but the carrot of such a referendum will be a huge boost for the far right parties and will win alot of votes they would never had won before. The landscape is changing, the EU's not really viable in todays world, like a government it is now looking out for itself, not it's members interests, it's about preserving their own jobs now so it's already a lost cause in my eyes.

Beat me to it, it shows the weasel that osbourne is, suddenly changing course because his job is well and truly on the line. The reality is now that all the austerity measures were indeed for nothing as the government will now borrow to avoid raising taxes, the complete opposite of what he said. We need a real chancellor now not a looney tune like osbourne.

Exactly, sterling will take a little longer but I would not be surprised if it hits the $1.40's in a couple of weeks once the hysteria has effectively died down, which has caused it's drop anyway. Austria may well call a referendum if the far right party wins the new election and sterling will then bounce back even quicker and the euro will then crash big time, yet juncker will not change. The media has panicked people, see through the haze and you realize things are positive, some companies looking to downsize will seize the opportunity to blame brexit for these moves, and act now but I can see the UK having a very strong economy if the politicians would just get on with it and make it happen.

Nothing like a positive attitude is there

With a bit of luck the EU won't exist in 5-10 years time and countries like the UK who got early will be in an incredibly strong position as the remaining countries try and sort their own currency issues again and try and strike up new trade agreements with us. The EU in it's current state will not last 10 years so it's far better to get out now will we can. Cameron did us all one big favor with such a daring referendum, he didn't obviously plan the outcome, but he has changed the course of this country for the better by doing so. Instead of moaning people now need to come together and make this work, by doing this everyone gets the benefits of a thriving economy alot faster. As I said already some companies will use this as a cover up for cutting jobs, however it also provides plenty of growth opportunities, export companies will be making contacts right now outwith the UK they might never have bothered with before, people will be more proactive right now to get more business, this is a positive thing.
