The threads and post boxes are fine, but the home page on a big iMac screen is a very white design with no shading inside the boxes, which to me is a bit too 'Daz Doorstep Challenge'. Even having alternating shaded boxes on the home page would make it easier on the eye in my opinion...

I agree with Murray – the home page is a mass of white, which is rather hard on the eyes when viewed on a large screen and therefore hard to read (although it could come in handy as a makeshift SAD light box during the winter months). Would be much more user-friendly with even just the light...

I guess this might have been worth acquiring if you're also the owner of NottinghamOnline.com/.co.uk and want to protect the brand, but otherwise I can't see any value in it. Also, to me, the word 'online' seems a bit dated, going back to the days where someone might ask 'Are you online?' before...

Surely it reduces the value of a 'premium' domain though? I've seen a four-letter .london domain with annual renewal fees of £1,399.99 on GoDaddy, so you'd be looking at shelling out £14k over the course of a decade (assuming the extension is still going in ten years' time, which I imagine it...

I wouldn't fancy paying £1k to renew the two-letter domains on the list – would soon add up!

No, I can't personally see me changing from using goo.gl in a hurry – and as this is generally seen as a free service for short-lived Twitter links, etc, I doubt you'd have much joy trying to charge for something like better-looking shortened URLs in my opinion...
