only 10 click throughs though (£1)

this domain has a short 'shelf life', is there something better i could be doing with it to generate more than a quid?

I'd try NameDrive I bet you would get a higher PPC value.

My PPC is simlar on Sedo and ND when you take the €->$ exchange into account, what is different is the CTR and subsequently the CPM.

Might be worth considering setting up your own parking page or website. I think click values have dropped considerable, you could earn £2+ per click 12 months ago on high value terms. Consider..

adsence
Espotting
Mirago
ebay
search123
valueclick
kelkoo

ive been trying out Namedrive for last couple of days and a term that would net me 0.10 euros on Sedo now gets me $1.84 us on Namedrive.

That would seem far more then anyone could expect from a parking service. Too good to be true?

me being cynical?

If it looks too good to be true?...... it usually is!

Whilst I usually agree, i've been seeing simar jumps...they aren't as consistant as Sedo, if I have a term that gets €0.30 per click Sedo, it usually always is €0.30....but at Namedrive you get the $0.04 clicks as well as the $5 clicks.

Do Sedo standardise PPC rates for certain terms regardless of what the advertiser is paying? I notice there is no revenue adjustment at Sedo is this why? (Just guessing here)

I think Sedo randomise the placing of adverts, whereas Namedrive place the higher PPC ads at the top. I think.

Maybe the differences between Overture and Google agreements.

But I'm only speculating.

No, I would have thought both Sedo and ND will still conform to the most expensive (IE Highest) bid is shown at the top...this is the way adwords works. I'm also not sure how much control they would have over the feeds with regards to ad placement, I would imagine they are given what they get for each keyword set.

AFAIK Both Sedo and ND use Google feeds (Except for certain niches - Adult maybe)

Again, more speculation ;-)

With google its not the case that the highest PPC is at the top, its based on CTR. The highest CTR ad will be at the top even if hes hapying 50% less.

well i have just moved 3 domains that get about 200 clicks a week and will pay no more than a couple of quid with Sedo. I'll let you know what happens.
