adwords tip

hi,

ive got a music site, which i use adwords to advertise. ( to test before more ads are bought )

well i was advertising with them, but over the the first week the price gradually increased. which is fine as weekend prices shoot up. the second week i tested all keywords (weekday) some had few advertisers, some had only me.

the next day the ads weren't being showed. I looked at my account the price had risen. i needed to increase my default price.even on the keywords i was the only advertiser.

what i did was choose completely different set of keywords. And left them on for a couple of hours.

I then went back the and checked my orignal ketwords, the price has fallen to the original price!!

I dont know if this is A TIP but it worked for me.

anyone know why this happened? or similar thing happened to them?

QS is partly based on your whole account and how well the adgroup itself performs. It may well be the first set of keywords that you used were giving your poor QS for whatever reason. However, the second set pushed your QS up, meaning you could bid less across that adgroup ie you could reactivate your first set at the lower prices again (although I would be highly surprised if your QS changed that much in such a short space of time).

Also, Google have been "tweaking"

over the past few days and a few of people have seen spikes where a whole load of keywords have gone up in price, and then spiked back down to the original prices. You could have been caught up in this?
